On Bindis

Bindis (little decorative stickers that women place between their eyebrows) and nose pins are symbols of marriage here in India.  And every little girl dreams of one day being married.

So, it's become nearly a daily routine for the girls to ask for their bindis and "nose pins" (which are just tiny, silver bindis).

And the closeup shots of each little girl:

  2. You're right. They don't. :) But they are one of the symbols of marriage. :)

The culture is so different from one state to the next within India.
