On Week 9 of Homeschooling

Tot School

We tried noodle lacing this week.

Sugar P loved it!  Though she needed a bit of help.

She also enjoyed riding her scooter.

RRSP
& Letter of the Week
Letter Ii

Sweet P always enjoys the pasting project for RRSP.

She also did pretty well with lacing the letter I (upper case and lower case).

Here's a video of the girls saying their memory verse (from RRSP) this week:

We read "Mouse Cookies and More" this week which includes "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie", "If You Give a Pig a Pancake", "If You Give a Moose a Muffin", and "If You Take a Mouse to School".  Our story activities this week included a count the chocolate chips on the cookie to match the number, uppercase mouse and lowercase cookie match, cookie math mat, making peanut butter cookies for a snack, and...

cutting (by Mommy) and pasting a mouse (we replaced the cheese with a hand drawn cookie).

We played using stamped and laminated leaves.

Tapestry of Grace
Year 1, Unit 1, Week 9
This was our final week for Unit 1.  We'll be having our unit celebration in a week or so.  This unit has been so much fun!  We've really enjoyed learning more about Moses and the Israelites.

Lapbooks remain Lil P's favorite activity.
(This is only one third of the lapbooks for this unit!)

Since Lil P was continuously complaining about being uncomfortable at the dining room table during any writing time, we bought her a kid-sized desk and chair.  Complaining has stopped (for now)!

Lil P completed her math worksheet with no mistakes!

  2. Love the photos but especially the video. I love to hear littles as they work to memorize verses. Who knows exactly how the Lord will use the verses hidden in their little hearts but He will!

We haven't read any of the Mouse stories yet but every time I see the Mouse Cookie / Moose Muffin books in the store, I always think - oh, I need to add that to our library list :)
